I Told Him My Fantasy and He Actually Did It

THE STORY

My husband and I were drinking on the patio when he asked what I actually wanted, not what I thought sounded normal.

I told him I wanted him to take charge for once. Plan everything. Tell me what to wear. Stop asking me forty questions like I was approving a dentist appointment.

Two weeks later he booked a room, sent me an address, and told me to wear the black dress.

I almost backed out because suddenly the fantasy felt too real.

I went.

It was not perfect. It was awkward in places. It was also the first time in years I stopped thinking about laundry, money, and whether anybody needed me.

I want to do it again. I am too embarrassed to ask.

Now the comments get a turn.

Read the room, state your case, and try not to become the reason the next submission exists.

Some people journal. Some people create evidence. We all cope differently.

This is morally complicated and also deeply inconvenient, which somehow makes it worse.
